Pharmacy Value Added Services (VAS)

Pharmacy Value Added Services (VAS) is a people-centred initiative that was established in 2005 with the goal of improving access to medication and reducing congestion in healthcare facilities. The initiative provides patients with alternative options for collecting their medication without needing to go through the conventional in-person process. As part of the ongoing development of Ambulatory Pharmacy services, VAS has been rebranded to further enhance its objectives, particularly focusing on reducing congestion at pharmacy counters. The rebranded VAS now includes an improvement where patients no longer need to visit the pharmacy counter to obtain their follow-up medication. Instead, the supply of follow-up medication is prepared in advance by the pharmacy, allowing for a more streamlined and efficient process. This approach not only alleviates congestion but also enhances patient convenience and access to necessary medications.

The rebranding of Pharmacy Value Added Services includes the following services :

1) Ubat Melalui Pos (UMP)

2) Drive-Thru Pharmacy / Park and Take

3) Farmasi Lokar Ubat

4) Pembekalan Ubat Melalui PIhak Ketiga (UM3)
