Accreditation
OVERVIEW
Hospital Accreditation has started since 1998, conducted solely by the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH). It is a voluntary process by which MSQH grants recognition to healthcare facilities and services which meet established national standards that require continuous improvement in Structures, Processes and Outcomes. Accreditation encourages health care facilities and service provider to provide the best possible care to the patient (Achieving optimum results from available resources) via safe care in a safe environment, adherence to professional and ethical practice, appropriate management and treatment so there will be value for money service. It also served as a proactive measure to satisfy customer’s need.

TERM OF REFERENCE (TOR)
Hospital Accreditation has been in place since 1998, and the accreditation is conducted by Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH). MOH also works with other hospitals, such as Malaysian Armed Forces hospitals and university hospitals, to educate them on the importance of accreditation.
